The Honda Center hosted an incredible fight card which witnessed some crazy match-ups, insane knockouts and smart submissions. Here are all the results for UFC 298 from an emphatic night in Anaheim, California.

Andrea Lee vs Miranda Maverick (Women's Flyweight Bout) - Maverick wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Miranda Maverick begins her winning streak after getting a convincing unanimous decision win over Andrea Lee. The Missouri-born fighter may have just entered the UFC Women's Flyweight rankings after her triumph at UFC 298.

 

Oban Elliott vs Val Woodburn (Welterweight Bout) - Elliott wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

The Welsh Gangster shines on his UFC debut with an unanimous decision win. A chaotic first round almost stopped the fight as both men rocked each other with clinical kicks and powerful punches. Questions will be asked as to who is next for Elliott as he will be up for any challenge in the Welterweight division.

 

Josh Quinlan vs Danny Barlow (Welterweight Bout) - Barlow wins via TKO (R3, 1:18). 

Danny Barlow remains undefeated in his MMA career after an impressive UFC debut, winning by TKO and getting his fourth consecutive knockout victory. After showcasing how dangerous of a fighter he is on his debut, there could be a potential UFC star inbound for the Welterweights.

Zhang Mingyang vs Brendson Ribeiro (Light Heavyweight Bout) - Mingyang wins via KO (R1, 1:41). 

The Mountain Tiger took glory on his UFC debut after a terrific first-round knockout win over Brendson Ribeiro. Mingyang keeps his 100% finish rate and remains to stop all of his opponents in the first round as he becomes a dangerous prospect for the 205-pound division.

 

Rinya Nakamura vs Carlos Vera (Bantamweight Bout) - Nakamura wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Rinya Nakamura extends his undefeated record from eight wins to nine after a dominant display which earned him an unanimous decision victory in California. The Japanese fighter has competed in three fights in the UFC as he looks to get closer to earning a spot in the Bantamweight rankings.

 

Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs Junior Tafa (Heavyweight Bout) - de Lima wins via TKO (R2, 1:14).

Pezao made good work of Junior Tafa despite the Australian fighting on one day's notice as it was the brutal leg kicks which would earn de Lima a TKO win in the second round. After maintaining his #15 contender's spot, Marcos will want to face a higher ranked opponent and move up the Heavyweight rankings after getting redemption in Anaheim.

 

Amanda Lemos vs Mackenzie Dern (Women's Strawweight Bout) - Lemos wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). 

Amanda Lemos earned a close unanimous decision win after some incredible back-and-forth action with Mackenzie Dern. After redeeming her title loss from UFC 292, the #3 Strawweight contender will have to face another high ranked opponent of the division before getting an opportunity to fight for the 115-pound again. 

Main card

Anthony Hernandez vs Roman Kopylov (Middleweight Bout) - Hernandez wins via Rear-Naked Choke (R2, 3:23). 

Anthony Hernandez earns his eight career submission win after defeating knockout-artist, Roman Kopylov, in the second round. The #15 Middleweight contender maintains his ranking and will look to rise up in the weight division as he will aim to face more tough competition.

 

Merab Dvalishvili vs Henry Cejudo (Bantamweight Bout) - Dvalishvili wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

The Machine reaches a 10-fight winning streak after defeating the former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudo. Merab may have not won the first round but he showed dominance in the second and third as his next step forward is to face the 135-pound champion as he will most likely face the winner of Sean O'Malley and Marlon Vera when they fight at UFC 299.

 

Geoff Neal vs Ian Garry (Welterweight Bout) -  Garry wins via Split Decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27).

The Future edges out a close split decision win over #8 Welterweight contender, Geoff Neal, as the Irishman rises up the rankings to face his next big challenge. Garry is still undefeated and is looking to fight the next higher ranked contender as he called out Colby Covington during the post-fight interview.

 

Robert Whittaker vs Paulo Costa (Middleweight Bout) - Whittaker wins by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).

Robert Whittaker just did enough to triumph at UFC 298 as despite getting stunned with a spinning wheel-kick from Paulo Costa in the first round, he showed toughness and heart in the last two round to earn the victory. The Reaper may not be next in line to fight for the Middleweight title bit he will face one more ranked opponent to prove he is the next title challenger.

 

Alexander Volkanovski vs Ilia Topuria (Featherweight Title Bout) - Topuria wins via KO (R2, 3:32).

For the first time since December 2019, there is a new undisputed UFC Featherweight champion as Ilia Topuria knocks out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round to take UFC Gold. El Matador is not only still undefeated in his MMA career but, he becomes the first-ever Georgian UFC champion as he looks to make a long reign as the King of the Featherweights.
