The Kaseya Center hosted an action-packed fight card as fans witnessed some incredible fights, close decision wins and emphatic knockouts. Here are all the results from an enjoyable night in Miami, Florida.

early prelims

Joanne Wood vs Maryna Moroz (Women's Flyweight Bout) - Wood wins via Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).

Joanne Wood confirmed this would be her last fight in MMA as she left on a good note with a close split decision win. She managed to get a bit of revenge in her final fight after previously losing to Maryna Moroz by first-round submission back in April 2015. The Scottish fighter fought 17 times in the UFC as she managed to get more victories than losses and has competed in the third most Flyweight bouts in UFC history with a total of 12.

CJ Vergara vs Asu Almabayev (Flyweight Bout) - Almabayev wins via Unanimous Decision(30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Asu Almabayev extends his winning streak to 15 after earning a convincing decision win over CJ Vergara. Zulfikar earned his second victory in the UFC as he has looked like a serious contender in the Flyweight division. The Kazakhstan fighter may have the opportunity to fight for a spot in the rankings as he is becoming a rising star in the promotion.

Robelis Despaigne vs Josh Parisian (Heavyweight Bout) - Despaigne wins via TKO (R1, 0:18).

Robelis Despaigne has earned another quick successive knockout in his MMA career, stopping Josh Parisian in just 18 seconds on his UFC debut. The Big Boy's last four fights have a combined time of 39 seconds spent in an MMA cage as he has made a wild first impression with the promotion. With all five fights in his MMA career ending by KO, the Cuban knockout artist is looking like a dangerous threat coming into the Heavyweight division.

Michel Pereira vs Michael Oleksiejczuk (Middleweight Bout) - Pereira wins via Rear-Naked Choke (R1, 1:01).

Michel Pereira is looking like more of a dangerous fighter in the UFC ever since he moved up to Middleweight. It did not take long for Demolidor to damage Michael Oleksiejczuk's body before submitting the Polish fighter in just over a minute. Pereira looks to be in his prime and after extending his winning streak seven, there is a possibility he may have an opportunity to enter the Middleweight rankings in his next fight.

Ion Cutelaba vs Philipe Lins (Light Heavyweight Bout) - Lins wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Philipe Lins earned a close unanimous decision win after an incredible three-round war with Ion Cutelaba. The Brazilian now holds a four-fight winning streak after his victory in Miami which puts him in contention to fight for a spot in the Light Heavyweight rankings. Monstro seems to be looking forward to facing tougher competition in the division.

Preliminary card

Pedro Munhoz vs Kyler Phillips (Bantamweight Bout) - Phillips wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Kyler Phillips showed why he is such an exciting prospect in the UFC after defeating #13 Bantamweight contender and UFC veteran, Pedro Munhoz, by unanimous decision. In a fight where both men have never been stopped in their careers, they both failed to prevail on those terms but The Matrix showed to be the more impressive fighter. After entering the Bantamweight rankings, questions will be asked as to who is next for Phillips whether it may be a ranked or unranked opponent.

Mateusz Gamrot vs Rafael Dos Anjos (Lightweight Bout) - Gamrot wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).

Mateusz Gamrot continues his incredible run as a top contender after defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion, Rafael Dos Anjos, by unanimous decision being knocked down in the first round. Gamer has extended his winning streak to three as he looks to go further up the Lightweight rankings. After maintaining his #6 contender's spot, the Polish fighter could soon be in an argument for a shot at the UFC Lightweight belt if he continues his successful run.

Katlyn Cerminara vs Maycee Barber (Women's Flyweight Bout) - Barber wins via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Maycee Barber earned her biggest victory in her career after a convincing decision win to rise up the Flyweight rankings after defeating the #4 contender, Katlyn Cerminara. The Future has shown to be an impressive performer and a potential champion of the division as she currently stands on a six-fight winning streak, becoming ever more dangerous. Barber could soon earn a title shot if she can defeat one of the top three Flyweights of the division.

Curtis Blaydes vs Jailton Almeida (Heavyweight Bout) - Blaydes wins via TKO (R2, 0:36).

Curtis Blaydes did not only get redemption in Miami but earned his 13th KO/TKO career win after some powerful hammer-fists on the ground, completely stunning Jailton Almeida. The #5 Heavyweight contender was the underdog in the fight as he was taken down nine times in the first round but he would not be ruled out. Razor Blaydes did call out Interim Heavyweight Champion, Tom Aspinall, in his post-fight interview as it is possible that may be the next battle for the Illinois-born fighter.

main card

Petr Yan vs Song Yadong (Bantamweight Bout) - Yan wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Petr Yan stopped his three-fight losing streak with a significant decision win over Song Yadong as he maintains his #4 ranking in the Bantamweight division. The former UFC Bantamweight Champion did lose the first round of the fight but came back in the second and third with his precise striking and excellent grappling. It is unsure when Yan will fight again but he will look to begin a winning streak before getting another opportunity to capture UFC Gold again.

Gilbert Burns vs Jack Della Maddalena (Welterweight Bout) - Della Maddalena wins via TKO (R3, 3:43).

Jack Della Maddalena left it late but got the biggest victory of his career after knocking down Gilbert Burns with a knee before finishing the fight with a ground-and-pound. The Australian will boost up the Welterweight rankings after defeating the #4 contender as he currently sits as the #11 contender of the division. Della Maddalena did call out Shavkat Rakhmonov after the fight as he believes he just needs to beat the Kazakhstan fighter before earning a title shot against Leon Edwards.

Kevin Holland vs Michael Page (Welterweight Bout) - Page wins via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Michael Page proved to be a tough test for Kevin Holland as he shines on his UFC debut with an unanimous decision win. The former Bellator fighter used his unique fighting style, making it very frustrating for The Trailblazer. MVP may have just entered the Welterweight rankings after defeating the #13 contender as he looks to gradually rise and set his sites on the UFC belt.

Dustin Poirier vs Benoit Saint-Denis (Lightweight Bout) - Poirier wins via KO (R2, 2:32).

Dustin Poirier earned an incredible comeback KO win as despite Benoit Saint-Denis' dominance in the first round, The Diamond's striking would be a massive difference in the second round. Not only did Poirier maintain his #3 contender's spot in the Lightweight division, but he redeemed his last fight when he suffered a knockout loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 291. It is unlikely that Poirier will fight for the title next but one more fight could earn him a shot to finally become the undisputed champion of the 155-pound division.

Sean O'Malley vs Marlon Vera (Bantamweight Title Bout) - O'Malley wins via Unanimous Decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-44).

Sean O'Malley showed a striking class in the headliner of UFC 299 with a dominant decision win over Marlon Vera, avenging his only loss in MMA. Despite being victorious, Suga Sean was looking to stop the fight as he continuously hit Chito with powerful strikes but the Ecuadorian would not back down. After successfully defending the Bantamweight title, O'Malley did say that he would like to move up a division to face UFC Featherweight Champion, Ilia Topuria, otherwise he will face the next title challenger in line which will be Merab Dvalishvili.
