Rob Cross Shocked The Field As ‘Voltage’ Won the 2024 US Darts Masters, defeating Gerwyn Price in a thrilling final.
The former World Champion has now joined Luke Littler and Gary Anderson as only players to win multiple ranking events in 2024, after he previously won the Baltic Sea Darts Open on the European Tour.
After easily dispatching of his American opponent Adam Sevada 6-1 in the first round, Cross once again got the better of defending champion Michael Van Gerwen in the quarter finals after a recent spate of wins in the Premier League over the Dutch legend.
Reigning World Champion Luke Humphries in the semi-finals, and despite Cross storming into a 5-0 lead, 'Cool Hand' threatened a mammoth comeback. But Cross held his nerve to take the match 7-5 and move onto the final.
In the other half of the draw were many more upsets. Jeff Smith, the Canadian player who reached last year's final, once again took a major scalp with a 6-1 rout of Michael Smith.

But the Sniper would himself face a demolition at the hands of Luke Littler, as the tournament favourite and recent Premier League champion looked to add another World Series trophy to his growing cabinet.
It wasn't to be however, as Gerwyn Price instead booked his place in Saturday's final, beating Jules Van Dongen in round 1, before a 104 average put him past Peter Wright, and surviving match darts against Littler to win his semi-final 7-6.

In contrast to his semi-final, Cross found himself needing a comeback in the final, as Price raced into multiple two leg leads throughout the tie.
But Price just couldn't quite put the finishing touches as the games progressed, allowing Cross a narrow opportunity to take the lead and then the match to the fourth World Series title of his career.
